1、 Does my donation amount need to meet the program requirement?

Not necessary. Any amount of donation is acceptable. We appreciate and recognize every sum of donation. .

2、 How long does it take from donation to the completion of the project?

Donation to students: Matching the fund of donors with the students will be made every March and September. Remittance made before March will be matched in March while remittance made before September will be matched in September.

Donations to Hope Primary School: it usually takes no more than 18 months from the receipt of donation to the completion of the school construction.

Donations to Project Hope Mini Library: it takes about 2 months from the receipt of donation to the completion of the project.

Donations to Project Hope Computer Lab: it takes about 2 months from the receipt of donation to the completion of the project.

Donations to Project Hope Happy Sports: it takes about 2 months from the receipt of donation to the completion of the project.

Donations to Project Hope Happy Arts: it takes about 2 months from the receipt of donation to the completion of the project.

Donations to Project Hope Happy Music: it takes about 2 months from the receipt of donation to the completion of the project.

Donations to Project Hope Happy Cinema: it takes about 2 months from the receipt of donation to the completion of the project.

3、As for individual and corporate donations, how can tax be deducted with donation receipts?

For individuals and businesses in mainland China:

Donations to CYDF are tax-deductible. Donation from taxpayer to the cause of education through nonprofit organizations within Chinese territory or through government organs are allowed to be fully deducted before paying the personal income tax (Government Documents Coded Cai Shui[2004] No.39 issued by Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Taxation). The donations from enterprises, less than 12% of the total annual profit, is permitted to be deducted from taxable income (Government Documents Coded Cai Shui[2008] No.160 and Coded Cai Shui[2009] No.85 issued by Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Taxation, Ministry of Civil Affairs).
For individuals and businesses abroad, please inquire your local taxation offices for assistance. Residents in the United States may contact CYDF's partners - Charities Aid Foundation America (www.cafamerica.org), Give2Asia (www.give2asia.org), GlobalGiving (www.globalgiving.org) to make a donor-advised grant to CYDF and apply relevant tax-exempt policies.

4、What are the levels of sponsorship for different programs?

Project Hope student financial aid: the level of sponsorship of Project Hope 1+1 (for primary and middle school students) is 500 Chinese RMB yuan for one semester per student, 1,000 yuan for one school year per student. The level of sponsorship of Star of Hope (for high school students) is 3,000 yuan for three school years per student. The level of sponsorship of Project Hope College Dream (for college freshman) is 4,400 yuan per student. The level of sponsorship of Project Hope College Dream (for college students) is 11,000 yuan per student, which helps college students to complete study.

The levels of sponsorship for other programs are as follows:

500,000 yuan to build a Hope Primary School;
10,000 yuan for a Project Hope Mini Library;
100,000 yuan for a Project Hope Computer Lab;
20,000 yuan for a Project Hope Happy Sports Playground;
20,000 yuan for a Project Hope Happy Arts Classroom;
25,000 yuan for a Project Hope Happy Music Classroom;
50,000 yuan for a Project Hope Happy Cinema;
120 yuan for a package of Project Hope Happy Reading books;
40,000 yuan for a Hope Kitchen;
500,000 yuan for a Hope Hospital; 100,000 yuan for a Hope Clinic;
5 yuan for planting one tree, 500 yuan for planting one mu (666 squ-m) of trees for Mother River Protection.

5、How does the general public supervise the operation of projects?

We will set up“Public Open Day”to invite the general public to visit the foundation and learn about our operation and projects. We will release information such as where money goes, recipients list , and grant-claiming signature booklets of students on our official website. After the completion of the projects, we will invite independent audit institution to give specific audit on fund usage of our projects. The audit report will also be published on our official website.
