The world-renowned retail company highly values the health of consumers and controls the food quality by ordering produce directly from farmers, developing QR code platform to trace produce origins and setting up food safety labs.

The three-year "One Store-One School-One Farm" program will be another attempt in food safety by Carrefour, because farm is the origin, store is the terminal and the school is the hope and the future of China. The program name indicates how it operates: multi-lateral relationship will be established among one school, one Carrefour store and one farm cooperated with Carrefour to organize the students to participate in food safety activities. The activities involve the students to learn more on food safety and establish quality consumption values in order to be consumers with scientific literacy.

From 2016 to 2018 CYDF takes the responsibility to organize the partnership among stores, schools and farms and initiates kinds of activities including charity selling, food safety education and farm working. By 2018 there will be 100 Carrefour stores to be the partners to participate in the program.

We hope the program will cultivate children to be consumers with scientific views and quality consumption values.
