Vale, headquartered in Brazil, has covered its footprints in 38 countries. As the world's second largest mining company, Vale has been committed to exploring mineral resources and converting it into an essential element of daily life. With its business spreading throughout the world, Vale takes the responsibility and commitment of sustainable development.

After the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, Vale donated US $400,000 to CYDF and built three Hope Primary Schools in Sichuan. After the completion of these schools, Vale continued to focus on the subsequent construction and campus cultural development. It helped provide sports facilities and invited teachers and students from Hope Primary Schools in disaster-hit areas to the Shanghai World Expo in 2010 to broaden their horizons.

After the Yushu earthquake in 2010, Vale donated another 2 million yuan to support the Project Hope Disaster Relief Action and built one Hope Primary School.
After the Ya’an earthquake in 2013, Vale again donated 2 million yuan to help the affected children there, by equipping the schools with kitchens and other needed facilities.
