Since 2006, Dell has embarked on a cause with CYDF to establish Dell Learning Centers for the underserved children and youth. Beneficiaries are students of rural schools and schools for children of migrant workers, which were located in Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Xiamen, Chengdu and so on.  Based in these Dell Learning Centers, CYDF and Dell co-launched the“YouthConnect” and “Powering the Possible” projects successively from 2009 on. These projects have trained more than 350 teachers from 65 schools, benefiting over 100,000 students. With support from Dell, the Project Hope National Youth Competition of 21st Century Skills”has been hosted for three years, with over 500 students attending the summer camps, over 20 excellent representatives joining international competitions in Australia and Norway, and over 30 members of the winning teams participated in learning tours to Hong Kong.

After the 2010 Qinghai Yushu earthquake, Dell donated two million yuan to build 3 quake-proof Hope Primary Schools, equipped needy schools with sports playground and music classrooms, provided rescue workers with laptops to support reconstruction after earthquake, and funded 88 newly-admitted impoverished college students.

As of 2013, Dell has donated over 23 million yuan to CYDF, set up 70 Dell Study Centers, covering 32 cities in more than 20 provinces, benefiting over 100 thousand students. Meanwhile, Dell  encourages and supports employees to volunteer in charity activities. Every year, over 100 employees have delivered their voluntary services in the Dell Learning Centers and Summer Camps every year.
