On June 30th, 2010, Mercedes-Benz contributed 30 million yuan to CYDF tostartup “Mercedes - Benz Star Fund", which focuses on welfare activities in five areas, namely environmental protection, educational support, sports and arts, driving culture and social care. This is the first overseas charity fund set up by Mercedes-Benz in addition to the one in Germany.

On June 15th, 2012, "Live Up Your Dreams—Mercedes Benz Happy Music Gala" officially kicked off at Great Hall of the People, over 300 rural students from 22 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) participated in the performance. During the activity, Mercedes - Benz announced increase of its fund to the total of 55 million yuan.

Soon after Ya’an earthquake on April 20th, 2013, Mercedes - Benz added 20 million as its donation to support the reconstruction of earthquake-struck regions.
